Built on discretion
A private atelier founded in 1994, representing principals, family offices and institutions across four offices and thirty-seven flags.
32 years in one market.
Horizon. was founded in 1994 in Monaco and has done one thing since: represent a small number of people in the purchase, sale, charter and running of very large yachts. We have never diversified into property, aviation or asset management, and we do not intend to.
The firm is deliberately small. A principal works with the same broker from first brief to delivery, and that broker is supported by in-house surveyors, a legal and flag team, and a management desk that stays with the vessel long after the sale closes. Nobody is handed to an account manager.
Most of our work is never announced. The vessels shown on this site are those whose owners have permitted us to list them publicly; a comparable number are held off-market and released only on request.

Four commitments we are held to.
- 01
One side of the table
We act for the buyer or the seller, never both. Dual representation is common in this market and it is the reason so many transactions end in a dispute over what was disclosed and when.
- 02
Our own surveyors
Condition is assessed by people we employ, not by the yard selling the vessel or a surveyor recommended by it. It costs us mandates. It has also stopped clients buying four boats we had already listed.
- 03
A short list, kept short
We decline more mandates than we accept. A brokerage that lists everything is a directory; the value of a shortlist is entirely in what has been left off it.
- 04
Discretion as structure
Vessels are marketed to a named list rather than an open market. Ownership, price and terms are released after an NDA and proof of funds — not published, and not briefed to the trade press.
Four offices, one desk
Whichever office holds the mandate, the file is visible to all four. Time zones are a convenience for the client, not a handover.

No brief is too early. Most of our mandates begin eighteen months before anyone signs anything. Or read about the crew aboard.
